He was born in Urbino (Italy) and lives in Venice (Italy) where he teaches History of Art (Istituto Statale d'Arte). Exhibition's curator and scholar in venetian history of art, history of architecture and town planning. Now he is studing: sacred art, iconology, art teaching. Books and articles on: english town planning and housing, the Palmanova's fortress, the painter Tintoretto, Saint Marc the evangelist, arts and crafts in Venice (Gambrinus prize), the Ducal Palace Capitals in Venice. 

He is the author of an important illustrated guide titled "The Treasures of Venice", edited by WhiteStar and National Geographic,  which has been translated into english, french, spanish, german and hungarian.

È nato a Urbino e vive a Venezia. È Docente di Storia dell'Arte presso l'Istituto Statale d'Arte. Curatore di mostre ed esperto di storia dell'arte veneziana, di storia dell'architettura e di storia dell'urbanistica. Attuali campi di ricerca: arte sacra, iconologia, didattica dell'arte. Pubblicazioni su: english town planning and housing, architettura militare e ingegneri, la fortezza di Palmanova, Tintoretto; San Marco evangelista, i mestieri di Venezia (Premio Gambrinus), i capitelli del Palazzo Ducale di Venezia. 

Ha pubblicato un'importante guida illustrata intitolata "I tesori di Venezia", edita da WhiteStar e National Geographic, tradotta in inglese, francese, spagnolo, tedesco e ungherese.
